Ross Sutherland to take part in Inspiresport Boys Under-18 League Region Programme

ROSS Sutherland Rugby Club will be taking part in the Inspiresport Boys Under-18 League Regional Programme.

The eight-team league comprising clubs from across the Caledonia rugby region will run from Saturday, August 27 to Saturday, October 8.

It will be followed by a cup competition running which will be run in November and December.

Ross Sutherland will start their league campaign in Invergordon against Kelpies/Alloa on Saturday, August 27.

They are also competing at home against Angus Colts, Kirkcaldy and Orkney throughout the season.

Ross Sutherland will then be on the road against Deeside/Garioch, Kirkcaldy, Strathmore and Glenrothes.

The club are also looking to recruit new players to boost their playing numbers ahead of the season opener as it prepares to launch a campaign to increase their squad.

Meanwhile there was success for Inverness clubs at the Ross Sutherland Rugby Sevens tournament which was held last weekend.

Highland were crowned kings of the men’s tournament and Inverness Craig Dunain came out on top to win the women’s competition.
