Ross County have announced the signing of goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw.

The Staggies had been on the look-out for a new number one since Scott Fox departed, and have agreed a two-year deal with 26-year-old Laidlaw.

Having spent the last few months on loan at Dundee United where he was largely back up to Benjamin Siegrist, Laidlaw was released by Hibernian at the end of the season.

As Ofir Marciano's deputy at Easter Road, he made 25 appearances in all competitions in three years – including games against Ross County in the Betfred Cup last season and in the Premiership in September 2017.

Laidlaw becomes County's second signing of the summer after Joe Chalmers made the move to Dingwall earlier this month.
