Ross County lose out to Partick Thistle for the third time this season as Oisin Smyth is different maker in Glasgow

The Staggies were hit by an early blow at Firhill as Ross Docherty was forced off injured in the 18th minute, replaced by Dean Cornelius.

Otherwise, both sides had chances to break the deadlock without success.

County’s shots fell to Ronan Hale, who had multiple efforts without finding the back of the net, while the Jags saw Kyle Turner and Tony Watt take aim without beating through Trevor Carson.

However, the only man to find the net throughout the match was Smyth, meaning the Staggies slipped to nine points off the promotion play-offs.
