Ross County confirm departure of Ricki Lamie to Championships side Hamilton Accies on loan for the rest of the 2024/25 season

Ross County have confirmed the departure of Ricki Lamie from Dingwall.

The 31-year-old featured in three of the Staggies League Cup group stage matches, but injuries have prevented him from making a single appearance in the Premiership.

Now, in a bid to get more playing time in the second half of the campaign, he has joined Hamilton Academical in the Championship on loan for the remainder of the season.

It is a return to North Lanarkshire for Lamie, who has previously had spells at Airdrieonians and Motherwell.

After making over 100 appearances for Greenock Morton between 2014 and 2018, Lamie stepped up to the Premiership with Livingston, where he featured regularly across two seasons.

From there he joined Motherwell, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Dundee before a pre-contract agreement with the Dens Park outfit fell through for the second time – paving the way for him to move north to Dingwall.

Now, though, he will join Hamilton in their bid to steer clear of the relegation play-off place in the second tier.
