ST Duthus manager Stuart Ross says his team need to make every minute count after suffering more injury time heartache.
Golspie Sutherland scored an injury time winner in a 2–1 victory at Grant Park last week.
It came seven days after Orkney scored in the 94th minute to snatch a 5–5 draw in Tain.
St Duthus have only one point from three games as they head to Caithness to take on Halkirk United tomorrow.
Ross says his team have suffered from an unlucky campaign so far, but says St Duthus can’t afford to feel sorry for themselves.
“It seems to be the way that we have been unlucky so far,” he said.
“We lost the game against Golspie in the final minutes and also drew with Orkney so it has been disappointing.
“Against Golspie I thought we were in control and they didn’t threaten us that much.
“Then Sam Mackay scored an opportunistic wind assisted free kick from 35 yards.
“Golspie had the momentum and the wind and got the goal late on.
“It was a disappointing way to lose, but we keep going.”
St Duthus will be missing a number of players due to work commitments, but welcome back defender Adam Macdonald.
Seven boys from the under-17 squad have been promoted into the first team.
“We are going to be taking a few kids up with us for the game,” said Ross.
“I think it is good for the longevity of the club and we will take up boys who we think that are ready to make the step up.”
