BLAIR Spittal says Ross County will adopt a win or bust attitude going into their final game of the season at Motherwell tomorrow.

Ross County only need one point to secure Premiership safety and remain in the top flight next season.

However, Spittal says the Staggies can’t afford to play for a draw saying if they do, they will set themselves up to fail.

Ross County are three points ahead of Kilmarnock and will stay up regardless of their result at Fir Park, if Killie fail to win at relegated Hamilton Academical.

However, Kilmarnock have a significantly better goal difference than Ross County and will leapfrog the Dingwall outfit if they end up level on points at full time.

Spittal says the team will go to Lanarkshire looking for victory to ensure they are not looking for favours elsewhere.

"There is a lot of noise around the place, not from the squad but the media,” he said.

“We know what is expected and it will be a nervy affair, but we can only control what we control and that is our game.

“We can’t control Hamilton and Kilmarnock, we will just go to Motherwell and get the three points.

"If you go out and play for a point you are setting yourself up to fail, you have to go into every game and get the win and that is what we will do on Sunday.

“Motherwell have beat us two out of the three games so far and been impressive under their new manager.

“But we are going into it in good form and will impose our style on them.”

Ross County recorded back to back wins in the last two games against Dundee United and Hamilton Academical for the first time since the opening day of the season.

Ross County have picked up seven points out of 12 during the split and Spittal says Wednesday night's 2-1 win over Hamilton shows the club have the fight to stay up.

“The fact we went 1-0 down it would have been easy for heads to go down.

“Getting the goal soon after they scored was important.

“In the second half we came out fighting, first half we didn’t do ourselves justice but second half we stuck together.

"There was chances for both sides but how we dug deep and got the second goal was vital for us.

“The manager spoke to us on Wednesday on how it was important to go out and not leave any regrets.“
