Kinlochshiel had a trip to forget, going down 8-1 to Newtonmore. Gordie MacDonald got the consolation for 'Shiel. Inveraray still lead Newtonmore at the top, followed by Kyles, Lovat and Kingussie, with Kinlochshiel sixth.

The first round of the Balliemore Cup witnessed wins for Skye over Inverness, Strachur over Kilmory and Glasgow Mid Argyll over Taynuilt.

In the Marine Harvest North Division 1, Beauly beat Kilmallie, Marc MacLachlin's strike making the difference.

In the second division, Skye beat Glengarry, Glenurquhart put three past Beauly to no reply whilst Fort William bear Kingussie. Kinlochshiel went down 3-0 to Newtonmore. Lovat beat Aberdeen University.

In the Marine Harvest North Division 3, Boleskine beat Strathglass while Lochcarron recorded a convincing 5-0 victory over Inverness. Gregor Cushnie got three with Ian Cameron and Criosdain Finlayson getting the others.

Lochbroom also recorded a win over Lewis, 4-3. Steven Bellshaw and James Rolfe got two apiece. Lochaber beat Kilmallie. Caberdeidh went down 2-0 to Strathspey.
