Ross County have made towering central defender Callum Semple their second signing of the day, following the earlier arrival of Daniel Armstrong.
The 20-year-old had spent the first half of this season on loan at Queen of the South from Sheffield United.
Now he has made the move to Dingwall on an 18-month contract.
Semple was a regular part of the Doonhammers squad, making 27 apperances across all competitions during his stay in Dumfries.
He is the second defensive reinforcement Ross County have brought in during this transfer window, after Kenny can der Weg returned to the club earlier in the month.
Semple goes straight into contention for Saturday's league match against Alloa Athletic at the Global Energy Stadium.
