ANDREW Barrowman says Ross County’s famous Scottish Cup semi final win over Celtic 10 years ago remains the club’s greatest ever result.

The Staggies, who were playing in the old first division, stunned the Glasgow giants 2–0 at Hampden a decade ago today to reach the Scottish Cup final.

Ross County have since gone on to become a Premiership outfit and won the League Cup in 2016 beating Hibernian 2–1 in the final.

But for the former Ross County striker, beating Celtic to reach the Scottish Cup final as a first division outfit still remains the club’s best ever result.

“For where we were at that point as a club and as a squad, for me it is the club’s biggest achievement,” he said.

“I know they have cemented themselves in the Premiership and the work they have done at the club since then. It is tremendous where they are at the moment.

“But where the club were at that point in time, and the fact we’re talking about it 10 years later shows the enormity of what we achieved.

“Players weren’t on big contracts, we weren’t on big money. It was all modest at that time and that is what I think makes it the biggest achievement.”
