Ross-shire schoolgirls called up to Scotland North Select squad

THREE Ross-shire schoolgirls have been called up to the Scottish Girls School North squad who will play against Deveronvale on Tuesday.

Dingwall Academy pupils Kiera Syrjanen and Chloe Wallace, along with Agnes Hooper from Tain Royal Academy, have been called up to the squad which will play against the Banff outfit next week.

In addition, Syrjanen is also the first player of Inverness football club Thistle Girls to be called up.

She has played for Thistle Girls at under-13 level before progressing to under-15 level and received her call up to the North squad.

The three teenagers are among 18 schoolgirls from across the Highlands, Moray, Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen that are called up to play in the north squad next week.

Miriam McLean from Inverness Royal Academy has also been called up.
