He has previously had spells in the Highland League with Clachnacuddin and Nairn County, where his manager was current Cattachs boss Steven Mackay.

At Station Park, Macleod ended the campaign as Nairn’s top scorer, and he will be looking to pick up where he left off under Mackay’s guidance.

Ross County manager Don Cowie commented: “Andrew has made great progress over the past few seasons, which was highlighted with his appearances in the League Cup this year.

“We feel moving to Brora, a club which we have a great relationship with, gives him the opportunity to continue his development and get regular first team football.”

Brora boss Steven Mackay said: “Technically he’s a very good footballer and he will enjoy playing within this squad and on this terrific surface.

“We’re looking forward to working with him and can’t wait to see what he can do.”

Macleod himself added: “I’ve been here before and I know how big the club is and how they want to play. I want to win as many games as possible because that’s what this club is all about.”
