Ross County confirm signing of striker Kieran Phillips from Huddersfield for undisclosed fee after impressive year at Sacramento Republic in USA
Ross County have confirmed the signing of striker Kieran Phillips on a two and-a-half year deal from Huddersfield Town.
The 24-year-old moves to Dingwall for an undisclosed fee, having spent the majority of 2024 on loan at Sacramento Republic in the United States.
There, he scored 15 times in 31 games, having previously had spells on loan at Walsall, Exeter City, Morecambe and Shrewsbury.
County manager Don Cowie commented: “We are delighted to sign Kieran. We had identified him in the summer but had to be patient while he was on loan at Sacramento.
“He had a fantastic spell there scoring a lot of goals. Kieran is a different profile to our current forwards and we all look forward to working with him.”
Phillips becomes the Staggies’ second signing of the January transfer window, having already brought Nohan Kenneh back to the club on loan until the end of the season.
There have been departures already, too, with Aidan Denholm returning to Hearts after injury cut his spell in Dingwall short.
