Former Celtic and Motherwell player Chalmers played a key role for Caley Thistle in a season which saw them reach the Scottish Cup semi final and the Premiership play-off semi final.

He made 51 appearances last season, playing in all but one match, and made 96 appearances overall since signing for Caley Thistle in the summer of 2017.

Chalmers becomes County's first signing of the summer as they look to improve their squad ahead of top flight football next season.

The Staggies were crowned Championship winners, meaning they bounced back to the Premiership at the first time of asking.
