The two sides are due to face off in Dingwall this afternoon, but the extreme weather conditions around the country cast doubt on a number of fixtures’ viability.

Hibs had travelled north earlier than they normally would have to escape the worst of the weather, which included a red weather warning in the central belt and “stay at home” guidance from First Minister John Swinney.

Even then, though, conditions were bad enough that an inspection was called to assess County’s pitch this morning.

Thankfully, it passed and the fixture will proceed as planned.
