The deal which will last until January, sees Spittal return to Firhill for a second spell having previously spent two seasons with the club between 2017 and 2019, playing 89 times and scoring 15 goals.

He is eligible for selection for tonight’s Betfred Cup clash with St. Mirren with Thistle manager, Ian McCall, said: “We only knew Blair was available in the last few days.

"He has played a lot of games at Premiership level for someone of his age.

"I believe he will bring extra creativity in the forward areas and his delivery at set plays will be vital.

"Of most importance though, is that Blair enjoys playing football again.”
