Ross County goalkeeper Jordan Amissah targeted by racist abuse in aftermath of win at Aberdeen in opening fixture of 2025

Ross County say they are investigating racial abuse directed towards one of their players after their opening match of 2025 against Aberdeen.

Goalkeeper Jordan Amissah was targeted on social media platform Instagram following the Staggies’ 2-1 victory at Pittodrie.

Amissah, who only joined County on a short-term deal last month, was at fault for Aberdeen’s equaliser, but played an important role for his side in the second half with several saves.

The 23-year-old shared the abusive comments on his Instagram story, asking people to report the account in question.

The club posted on their social media accounts: “Ross County FC is aware of racial abuse received by Jordan Amissah via Instagram following yesterday’s match.

“The club stand fully in support of Jordan and will be contacting the relevant authorities to assist with our investigation.”
