ROSS County hope to recruit another goalkeeper by this weekend after injury to Chelsea loanee Nathan Baxter.
The newly-promoted Premiership side lost Baxter to shoulder damage just a few weeks after his arrival at the Global Energy Stadium in Dingwall.
That left ex-Hibs keeper Ross Laidlaw as the only experienced shot-stopper on the books given Scott Fox’s summer departure and young Ross Munro’s loan deal. Baxter impressed in training and on County’s Dutch pre-season tour, but looks set to miss a minimum of three months’ action after the unfortunate blow.
Co-manager Steven Ferguson was remaining tight-lipped about likely targets. But he stressed: “We’re still working on it, but it could be we have some movement by the end of the week or by the weekend.”
