Ross County Cricket Club wait to hear when play can start

Ross County Cricket Club captain Graeme Carney thinks they would only need a couple of weeks’ warning to be ready ahead of the new season.

No games will take place until June at the earliest in the North of Scotland cricket league, with the campaign likely to be modified if and when play eventually resumes.

With lockdown coming into force last month, clubs were barely training outdoors if they had made it on to grass at all.

There was no chance to complete ground preparations.

But Carney is optimistic that a quick turnaround would be possible once the green light is given to return to training and competition.
