SPFL clubs unanimously agreed the season could not be completed and agreed to conclude the 2019/20 campaign on a points per game basis.

The decision guarantees Ross County will play in the Premiership next season after finishing the season in 10th place.

Celtic were crowned champions while Hearts have been relegated to the Championship.

MacGregor says while regrettable the season could not be completed, says it was the right decision.

He said: “Naturally we are delighted to retain Premiership Status and look forward to another season in the top flight.”

“Its safe to say that it is not the way I think anybody wanted the season to end, but it was the only natural conclusion that could be drawn, in our eyes, where we could get some clarity.”
