Ross County have completed the signing of 23-year-old goalkeeper Jordan Amissah on a short-term deal.

He has also spent time out on loan at Guiseley, Spennymoor Town and Burton Albion, as well as having a trial at Partick Thistle this summer after his release from Bramall Lane.

Over his career so far, Amissah has made 30 senior appearances across England’s National League, League One and Championship.

County moved to bring in a new goalkeeper after gloveman Ross Laidlaw had been ruled out for 8-10 weeks with a knee injury.

Manager Don Cowie commented: We are delighted to add Jordan to the group. With Ross Laidlaw out for a period of time, we felt it was really important to add another goalkeeper to our squad.”

The player himself wrote on social media: “Happy to be here and can’t wait to get started!”

The Staggies have also confirmed that Amissah will wear the number 18 shirt.
