The 25-year-old Grenada international is one of four players who have been short-listed for the title.

Also nominated are Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon, Celtic defender Tom Rogic and Celtic midfielder Callum MacGregor.

Charles-Cook, who arrived at Ross County in 2020 from Gillingham, is the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership this season, with 13 goals so far.

He is two goals ahead of Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and Livingston striker Bruce Anderson.

His contract is up at the end of the season.
