Ross County Athletics Club is on the right track

Its strength at junior level was emphasised when Andrew Baird was crowned under-11s boys’ champion.

He was also part of the under-11 boys’ squad along with Rory Aburrow, Struan Ellen, Sam Maclean, Andrew Maclennan and George Ross that won the team title.

In addition, Alex Ellen, Danny McPake and Kyle Sutherland won the under-17 men’s team title with McPake taking third place in the individual section.

Adam MacLellan was third place in the under-20 men’s competition.

Club chairman and coach Tom Mathieson said the success of the club has led to membership doubling in recent years.
