ROSS County Women are set to make history as they will play at the Global Energy Stadium for the first time next month.

It has been confirmed the women’s team will play their Scottish Cup second round clash against Bonnyrigg Rose at the Global Energy Stadium on Sunday, November 3 at 1pm.

The club said they are offering free entry for the match to mark the historic occasion next weekend.

Ross County were knocked out of the competition after losing 4-0 to St Mirren in the first round earlier this month.

However, St Mirren were disqualified from the competition after it was revealed that they fielded an ineligible player.

As a result, Ross County were reinstated into the Scottish Cup.

Bonnyrigg play in the same league as St Mirren, with both teams challenging for promotion from League One to the Championship.

Sitting one step below in the Scottish Women’s Football pyramid, County are yet to play their first league game of the season, but should return to action this Sunday away at Dyce.
