It has been reported by Sky Sports that the 24-year-old is set to join up with the Staggies from the English League Two outfit after his current contract expires next month.

If it is correct, Cornelius, who previously played for Motherwell, will arrive at the Global Energy Stadium on a two-year contract.

Cornelius came through the youth system at Hibernian before signing for Motherwell in 2018.

He spent five years at Fir Park before signing for Harrogate Town in 2023. Last season, they finished in 18th place in League Two.

Ross County have already signed five players in preparation for the new Championship season. They include defender Ben Crompton, midfielder Ross Docherty, defender Declan Gallagher , midfielder Aaron Lyall and midfielder Gary Mackay-Steven.

Ross County were relegated from the Premiership last season after losing the play-off final to Livingston. They will kick off their competitive campaign with a trip to Stranraer in the League Cup on Saturday, July 12.

They have also found out their fixture schedule in the Scottish Championship for the 2025/26 campaign.
