Inverness Caledonian Thistle former manager linked with move to Ross County according to reports





FORMER Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager John Robertson has been linked with a move to join Ross County’s coaching team next season.

The Sunday Mail have reported today that the Staggies are considering bringing in the 60-year-old to join Don Cowie’s coaching team to help the Staggies win promotion back to the Premiership following being relegated this season.

It is reported that Robertson, along with former Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer are two names under consideration to join the club’s coaching team.

Robertson has previously been manager of Ross County in 2005, but left within four months of being appointed by mutual consent.

Robertson has also been manager of Inverness Caledonian Thistle during two different periods. Firstly in 2002 where he helped the club to the Premiership for the first time before leaving in 2004 to take over at Hearts.

He returned as manager of Inverness for the second time in June 2017 and remained in charge until February 2021 when he was given compassionate leave. He returned to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in May 2021 as sporting director. He left in November 2023 to pursue other opportunities.

Don Cowie remains as manager of Ross County following their relegation from the Premiership last week after losing the Premiership play-off final to Livingston.

Scott Allardice and James Brown have left the club after their contracts expired with no further news about players who are out of contract at present.
