Counties had been due to play against Buckie in the opening round of the Senior Cup last Saturday, but when their opponents were unable to raise a team the Meeting Park outfit progressed into the second round by default.

That set up a cup tie against Ross County, but first the Castle Leod side will travel to the Highland capital in league action.

The other match in the Senior League sees a rematch from last Saturday as Nairn County travel to Cooper Park to face Elgin.

Last time out, Dave Wolton led the way for Nairn, scoring 87 not out as the game went down to the final ball, only for Elgin to edge to victory with one wicket to spare.

In the Reserve League, Highland – who are only playing on Sundays this year – will be looking to follow up their five-wicket win over Nairn when they face city rivals Northern Counties, who convincingly won away at Forres.

Nairn are the odd team out in the nine-team Sunday league this time around, returning to action in the Reserve T20 Cup next weekend.
