Former Olympic athlete Alan Sinclair has been appointed the new director of rowing at St Andrews University
Sinclair (35) has taken the role after announcing his retirement from the sport last month.
Sinclair started his rowing career at Inverness Rowing Club aged 14 and worked his way up through the different levels of rowing.
He rowed at the University of Aberdeen and then Leander before joining the Great Britain rowing team in 2012.
He is a four-time international medallist and an Olympic finalist at Rio 2016 when he finished fourth in the men's coxless pair.
Speaking of his appointment Sinclair said: "I'm delighted to have been appointed as director of rowing and am honoured and excited to become a part of this ambitious, dedicated and close-knit team.
"I am looking forward to using my experience to enable the athletes to make the most of their time at the University of St Andrews, and to support a developing programme."
