The Inverness Harriers athlete secured a place on the podium in Silesia with a throw of 58 metres and 13 centimetres.

Portugal's Liliana CÁ claimed gold with a throw of 61.36 with Germany's Marike Steinacker second with 59.29.

Despite finishing in third place, Law felt she could have reached further.

‘I’m happy that I came third and the 58 is consistent but I felt like there was a bigger one there," she said.

‘I just wanted to get an easy one out to start and then build on it but I think I tightened up and didn’t stay long and loose.

"I think I got more points that I should have so I’m happy with that."
