Inverness Harriers athletes who are both from Muir of Ord claim victory at Forres Harriers 10k





Muir of Ord athletes Donnie MacDonald and Caitlyn Heggie both came out on top to secure victory at the Forres Harriers 10K last week.

The duo, who are both runners for Inverness Harriers, took the men’s and women’s title at the race which took place on Saturday.

MacDonald won the men’s title by an impressive 18 seconds as he claimed victory in a time of 33 minutes and six seconds.

Stuart Gardiner from Highland Hill Runners was in second place as he finished in 33:24 with Gordon Lennox from East Sutherland Athletics Club claiming third place in 33:33.

Meanwhile, Heggie claimed the women’s title as she won in a time of 36:31. She claimed the women’s title by 22 seconds as Helen Leigh was in second place in 36:51.

Julie Wilson of Inverness Harriers took third place in a time of 42:44.
