The club's playing squad and coaching staff are undergoing further tests this morning as a precaution.

Following testing on Tuesday, Motherwell received confirmation later that night of the result of the player who was confirmed positive.

The player in question immediately went into self-isolation and underwent a secondary test on Wednesday, which also returned positive.

The club said in a statement: "No other squad members or staff members tested positive in that round of testing, and no-one has been required to isolate under contact tracing procedure."
