Billy Mckay has become the latest player to commit his future to Ross County – signing a fresh two-year deal.

The Northern Irish international striker was the top scorer for the Staggies last season, finding the net on 20 occasions.

He finished the campaign as the third top scorer overall in the Championship, behind only Lawrence Shankland and Stephen Dobbie, despite missing the last two months of the season with a broken arm.

Mckay (pictured) picked up that injury in a match against Ayr United, where he scored a hat trick as County ran out 3-2 winners.

He joined the Staggies on a free transfer from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2017, having spent the previous two campaigns out on loan at Dundee United, Oldham Athletic and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Though he struggled for goals in his first season, he became a key part of County’s title-winning campaign.
