Ross Sutherland head coach Mann pleased with youngsters' progression in first half of season

Ross Sutherland head coach John Mann has been happy with how his “young pups” have developed this season.

Results have not gone the Stags’ way, as they sit at the bottom of Caledonia North Two with just four points from their opening five games.

Last weekend’s derby postponement means the club will start 2020 in the league’s only relegation place.

Doom and gloom, though, has not entered the mind of the man in charge at Ross Sutherland.

Instead, Mann is taking the festive break as a chance to reflect on the progress of his young squad, with many of them making the step up to senior rugby.

“Our new centre combination of Matthew Robertson and Daniel Gordon has been a highlight,” Mann said.
