Head coach Mann confident Ross Sutherland can rise up Caledonia North Two table

Ross Sutherland will look to get off the bottom of the Caledonia North Two table when they face Mackie at Invergordon.

The Stags have had a slow start to 2019 with only three league games played which include two defeats.

Victory could see them move above Banff in seventh and a bonus point win past Aberdeenshire in sixth if other results go their way.

Head coach John Mann says he is confident they can defeat the Stonehaven outfit despite them being the only team to beat Highland 2nd XV in the league in the last two years.

“Mackie haven’t looked as strong as they were last season.

“Also it is still early in the season and we have only played three games.

“But looking at other results, home advantage is making a big difference this year. So we need to target every home game to win and then try and pick up points on the road.”
