Brothers to rejoin Ross Sutherland's fight against relegation in Caledonia North Two

By Will Clark

Ross Sutherland are set to welcome back brothers in arms as they kick off 2020 fighting against relegation from Caledonia North Two.

Ali Kennedy, Dave Kennedy and Murray Kennedy are all set to feature for the Stags when they face Aberdeenshire at the Naval Grounds in Invergordon on Saturday.

Head coach John Mann says the return of the trio to the squad will be vital for adding experience to youth as they look to grab a vital win.

Former captain Ali Kennedy is set to return for Ross Sutherland as the Invergordon outfit looks to escape relegation by moving off the foot of Caledonia North Two.

They are eight points adrift at the bottom of the table.

“They have been club stalwarts for the past 10 to 15 years,” said Mann

“They have all put their hands up to make a comeback for the club.

“It will make a huge difference to the team as they have been there and done it.

“They were all boys who were in the National Bowl-winning team in 2018.

“They have over 40 years of rugby between them and they will also be in a good position to mentor our young lads.

“I think with the physical games that we have had this year, it will make a big difference to us.”
