Ross County will retain the services of Jamie Lindsay barring a “substantial” bid from a club that excites the talented midfielder.
Rotherham, relegated last season from England’s Championship, have tabled a cash offer for the former Celtic youngster as they look to rebuild in League One.
But the proposed sum fell massively short of what County would realistically entertain.
The Ross-shire Journal understands Lindsay is very settled and happy to remain in Dingwall for the club’s triumphant return to Premiership action in August.
Like any player, he may look to fresh horizons at home or south of the border in the future, but all indications are the 23-year-old is 100 per cent committed to the Staggies for the final year of his contract.
While The Millers, under manager Paul Warne, were still thought to be pursuing their interest yesterday, co-manager Stuart Kettlewell made the club’s stance crystal clear.
