Invergordon go six points clear at top with second half blitz against Thurso

INVERGORDON moved six points clear at the top of the North Caledonian League with victory over Thurso.

The hosts stormed back in the second half after going into the break behind after Michael Petrie score from the penalty spot after three minutes.

But an Innes Mackintosh own goal levelled the score 11 minutes into the second half.

Ian Penwright put Invergordon into the lead in the 72nd minute before Ken Morrison struck twice in the 84th and 87th minute to seal all three points.

Invergordon are now six points ahead of Ross rivals St Duthus with five games remaining in the league campaign.
