Invergordon will take on Newtongrange Star in their first ever Scottish Cup match.

The club have benefited from a new rule implemented by the Scottish FA that the winners of the North Caledonian League – regardless of license status – will earn a place in the competition.

As last season's North Caley champions, Invergordon are the first to take advantage of the change, and joined Golspie Sutherland and Fort William in the draw.

They will have home advantage against the East of Scotland League outfit, who received a bye to the first round proper last season before losing on a replay to Dalbeattie Star.

Matches will take place on the weekend of August 27, one week after the North Caledonian League kicks off for the 2022/23 campaign.
