Hearts recall midfielder Aiden Denholm on loan deal from Ross County to receive rehabilitation for injury he suffered against Dundee

Aidan Denholm has left Ross County and has returned to his parent club Heart of Midlothian to receive treatment for his injury.

The midfielder has seen his time cut short in Dingwall, as he has been recalled to Tynecastle to undergo rehabilitation following his injury during the 3-0 win against Dundee on Boxing Day.

Denholm (21), who made 17 appearances for Ross County, originally joined from Hearts on a season long loan deal in July.

His departure comes as Ross County are set to continue their Scottish Premiership campaign tomorrow when they face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

The Staggies are two points above the relegation zone in 10th place following their 2-1 win over Aberdeen on Thursday.

Ross County are on 22 points with Hearts in 11th on 20 and St Johnstone at the bottom of the table in 12th on 15 points.
