Perfect storm led to Ross Sutherland postponement

Ross Sutherland head coach John Mann said last week’s non-fulfilment of their clash against Aberdeenshire was unavoidable.

But Mann said the club’s inability to field a team last weekend is a one-off saying it is unlikely to happen again for the rest of the season.

“It was a perfect storm of a weekend for us,” he said.

“We had three players who picked up new injuries while we had another few who weren’t ready to return to action.

“Other players weren’t able to play due to personal or work commitments along with others who were forced to drop out due to flu.

“We had 25 players at the start of the week and in the end we just couldn’t field a team.”
