The Inverness club’s duo will be assessed where if they are successful, they will then continue training as part of the Scotland’s Pathway Programme to the Scotland team.

Highland Boxing Academy head coach Liam Foy said the club has a proud history of their athletes going to the High Performance Centre.

He said they have both shown the potential they can go on and represent their country in the future.

Foy said: “Both had to apply and meet certain criteria to be eligible for assessments.

“So we are happy that both boxers were successful and look forward to the potential of continued training at the High Performance Centre with Boxing Scotland.”
