Group effort to thank for Ross County awards

Ross County co-manager Steven Ferguson has lauded the club’s success this season as a group effort after being named Championship manager of the year alongside Stuart Kettlewell.

It was a double success for the club, as the pair were also named the division’s managers of the month for April.

Plaudits have been coming the way of County’s managerial duo, but Ferguson insists it is an award for everyone at the club.

“We’re very grateful,” he said.

“It’s always a nice way to end the season, but Stuart and I will be the first to recognise that individual stuff is not about individuals.

“It’s about the group as a whole, and a lot of people have contributed to the success we’ve had this season.

“Obviously our footballing staff from top to bottom have really got behind us and they’ve really bought into everything that we wanted to do and helped implement our message and how we wanted things done."
