Graham still chasing Tokyo Paralympic dream after world championships in Canada

Fin Graham says he has learned what he needs to do to be selected for the British Paralympic Games squad after competing at the Paracycling Track World Championships.

The Strathpeffer cyclist missed out on the medals in Canada, finishing fifth in the pursuit, sixth in the kilo and seventh in the scratch race last weekend.

But as he prepares for the Paracycling Road World Championship in Belgium in June, Graham (20) believes he can secure selection for Tokyo on a surface where he enjoyed gold medal success in 2019.

“Tokyo is still the target, there is one more big race before heading out,” he said.

“There is a lot of work I have to do.

“But there is time so hopefully it will be a good few months and get the solid training in to improve my form as much as possible.

“I had a lot of success on the road and I’m looking to start where I left off last year.”
