Jodi Gorski is warning Caberfeidh’s squad he won’t tolerate a repeat of last season’s slump in standards during the new Mowi Premiership campaign.

Cabers, top division newcomers last year, hope to play only their second league match of 2019 tomorrow at home to Lovat.

With the Kiltarlity side having fulfilled three fixtures to the Strathpeffer club’s one, match sharpness is a concern for Gorski.

Hopes are high that Cabers can build on last season’s survival, but Gorski has laid down the law regarding the ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ nature of the campaign.

The Castle Leod outfit turned in some shockingly poor performances latterly, suffering 11 defeats in their final 14 matches.

Gorski, eager to get up and running again, said: “When we played Lovat away last season, there wasn’t much in it. They beat us 3-0 but their keeper had some brilliant saves."
