Ross County confirm goalkeeper has left club to sign for English League One club Burton Albion
Ross County have confirmed that goalkeeper Jordan Amissah has left the club and joined English League One outfit Burton Albion.
The German goalkeeper has left Dingwall following the Staggies’ relegation from the Scottish Premiership to join the English League One outfit.
Amissah spent the second half of last season’s campaign at the Global Energy Stadium after agreeing a short-term deal in December.
In March, he agreed a new contract to remain at Ross County until the end of the 2026/27 season, but has now moved on elsewhere.
During his time at Ross County, he became the club’s first choice goalkeeper and made 23 appearances for the club.
His departure comes after it was also confirmed last week that defenders Ricki Lamie and Michee Efete have both been released from their contracts. Other players who have left the club in Scott Allardice, James Brown, Conall Ewan, Ryan Leak, Josh Nisbet, Logan Ross and Alex Samuel.
A statement from Ross County said: “We thank Jordan for his contributions whilst at the club and wish him all the very best for the future.”
Meanwhile, Ross County have brought in six new players to the squad ahead of the 2025/26 Championship campaign with midfielder Dean Cornelius the latest new addition.
Other new signings to arrive at Ross County include Declan Gallagher, Gary Mackay-Steven, Ross Docherty, Ben Crompton and Arron Lyall.
Ross County are set to play a pre-season friendly against Highland League club Strathspey Thistle at Seafield Park in Grantown on Spey tomorrow night at 7.45pm.
