Gliniecki becomes two-time champ

Alness boxer Ewan Gliniecki has become a Scottish Open champion for the second time in his career.

The Highland Boxing Academy athlete proved too good for Southside boxer Matthew Cox to win the national belt at 46kg category.

Now his coach Liam Foy is predicting the teenager is in line to represent his country for the first time and has a shot at the British Championships.

“The win has put him in the strongest position in his career to win his first Scottish cap," Foy said.
