Bonus points will prove key to Ross Sutherland's Caledonia North Two survival bid

Ross Sutherland will be going all out for a bonus point victory as they begin 2020 fighting against relegation from Caledonia North Two.

The Stags face Aberdeenshire at the Naval Grounds in Invergordon tomorrow eight points adrift at the bottom of the division with nine games remaining.

But the Stags do have a game in hand on seventh-place Moray and two games in hand on Banff who are nine points ahead in sixth place.

Ross Sutherland head coach John Mann says it is vital they secure victories at home and make their games in hand count to avoid dropping down to Caledonia North Three next season.

“We need to take advantage of playing at our home ground,” he said.

“As a team we have never travelled that well.

“We need to really take a bit of pressure off ourselves and look to get at least four points from the game. But ideally we would want five.”
