Vehicles belonging to Loch Ness Football Club were allegedly pelted with eggs after an incident at a football match at Fort William in the North Caledonian League.
Loch Ness reported their vehicles were attacked by fans throwing eggs after their 2–1 win at Claggan Park on Saturday.
The incident is believed to have happened after full time after an argument between players on the pitch.
It is claimed fans jumped over the railings onto the pitch as a result of the incident.
Loch Ness manager Shane Carling said their vehicles were pelted with eggs by fans after the game.
He also reported one of the Loch Ness players' wives was in one of the vehicles when the incident took place.
Carling said: "Once the game was done there was a carry on and it kicked off.
"Fans ran on to the park causing trouble and afterwards my seven-seater car, as well as the nine-seater minibus we had were egged.
"A player's wife was sitting in a car which was hit with eggs and it wasn't nice."
Fort William have declined to comment on the alleged incident which took place.
A spokesman for the North Caledonian Football Association said: “The NCFA have been made aware of an incident after the Fort William v Loch Ness game on Saturday, October 1.
"This is under investigation and the Association with not be making any further comment at this time."
Fort William took the lead after seven minutes after Martin Munro found the net.
Loch Ness equalised midway through the first half through an Allan Macphee strike.
Loch Ness went on to win the match in injury time as Phil Macdonald scored to grab all three points.
Loch Ness are top of the North Caledonian League by one point from Golspie Sutherland.
