The club have decided they are withdrawing from Division One due to the impact of Covid-19 despite already starting the campaign.

The Ross-shire outfit released a statement on their Facebook site stating the restrictions caused by the virus has proven too much.

It said: "Unfortunately we have taken the hard decision and decided to withdraw from this season's league.

"With Covid cases higher than ever and lots of teams having Covid outbreaks and postponed games, we decided it is not worth the possibility of being told to isolate when people have jobs they depend on and families for a game of football.

"Also other factors in players being unavailable each week has made it extremely difficult to continue.

"We hope next year is better than this year in regards to Covid and we will be back stronger than ever next season."

Muir of Ord were in fifth place in Division One having played five games, having won twice, drawn once and lost twice.
