And he wants to see the NCL follow the same example as other divisions by crowning the league leaders champions.

The Highland League finished the season on March 21, crowning league leaders Brora Rangers champions.

Last week, the Championship, League One and League Two seasons were finished, with league leaders crowned champions on a points-per-game basis.

Invergordon are four points clear at the top with three games to go and if the league was determined on a points-per-game system, they would be crowned champions. The North Caledonian Football Association previously said any decision on the outcome of the 2019-20 season shall be deferred until June 30 or when the SFA/SPFL response group confirm a date to resume.

Campbell says the possibility of the league being made null and void should not be an option, and crowning his team champions is the fairest way to complete the season if no more football can be played.
