Edderton athlete is selected for Scotland squad for major international race

TWO-time Highland Cross champion Ross Gollan has been called up to the Scotland squad to compete at a major international hill running event.

The East Sutherland Athletics Club athlete from Edderton has been selected to run for Scotland at Trofeo Nasego in Italy later this month.

He is one of eight athletes to be selected to compete at the race which takes place on August 31.

Gollan has competed for Scotland in international hill running competitions in the past.

He won the Highland Cross, a 50-mile cycling and running duathlon between Kintail and Beauly in 2022 and 2023.

Also selected for the Scotland squad is two-time Highland Cross women’s champion Catriona Graves

The Inverness doctor first won the Highland Cross in 2023 and successfully defended her title in June.
